Dr. Kate Gray
Dr Gray graduated from the University of Queensland Medical School in 1999. Subsequently she undertook her residency and general surgical training in hospitals throughout South East and Central Queensland prior to entering formal advanced training in Urology.
In May 2007 Dr Gray successfully completed her Fellowship Examination with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Urology. The following year she was awarded an Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand travelling fellowship and spent 12 months in Oxford, UK focusing on renal laparoscopy for benign and malignant diseases as well as multidisciplinary management of bladder and prostate cancers.
In 2009 Dr Gray undertook further fellowship training in Christchurch, New Zealand to develop expertise in the management of female urology, urinary incontinence and urodynamics. She has a particular interest in this area as well as continuing to undertake all aspects of General Urology.
During her time overseas she was actively involved in teaching and was appointed lecturer in surgery with both the University of Oxford and University of Otago. Since her return to Australia she has accepted an appointment as surgical skills instructor with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
Dr Gray holds specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia and is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons. She also has professional memberships with the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand, the International Continence Society and the Australian Medical Association.
